    Good followup. Looks as if you opened a big discussion.

    I don’t know if this has been discussed before, but I think an important question to add to the discussion is, “what factors makes a space opera a good story.”

    Also, “what are the inherent limitations in space opera. Is there a way to get around them and still have a space opera?”

    I tried to explain space opera to my wife and failed so I need to read a lot more on this topic.
