Speculative Poetry
Maybe against my better judgement? But I’ve started a Google Group for speculative poetry.

Suggesetions for the name welcome. But I wanted to provide a discussion group and clearinghouse for poets of various (and maybe even antithetical) stripes and dispositions to gather in one virtual place. And have a discussion that doesn’t involve “5 cents a line or 10 cents a line?” But rather to really hash out what is really some undiscovered territory, in looking at speculative poetry as an approach to writing (and an approach to the relationship between language and the world) rather than a market.
We’ll see how it goes. Oh, and in terms of what is open for discussion, the description goes something like this: “An open and open-ended group whose poetic work or interests involve, but is not necessarily limited to: science fiction, science, metaphysics, futurism, simulacra, junk sci-fi culture, hyper-globalism, and teal giant killer robots.”
PS Red Giant (once I finish up some more immediate projects)–my long suffering chapbook of experimental specualtive poetry–is still going to be published. I swears!
