Rabid Transit: Menagerie

Rabid Transit, Menagerie

Breaking news: Kristin just picked up Rabid Transit: Menagerie from the printer today. I’m still working on the new website, but fear not. Those who ordered at Wiscon (or contributors) will have theirs shipped out tomorrow. Others, if you’re at all interested, can order this 92 page behemoth (well, behemoth for us) here:

And the TOC, again:

Terminos, by Dean Francis Alfar
PICK, I am, I am., by James Allison
Fragments, by Matthew Cheney
The Sky Green Box, by Rudi Dornemann
Ballerina, Ballerina, by Eric Rickstad
The Sign in the Window, by Vandana Singh

For the moment, check out the three previous chapbooks here.

Additionally, buy any three Rabid Transits (mix n’ match!) for $14, with free shipping (please indicate, obviously, which three you want. If no indication is made, said vendor will throw a four-sided die):

Or all four for $19, with free shipping:

I can’t guarantee that these stories push harder less cooly. I can, however, guarantee that they kick ass.

(And awards are icing, but it was very heartening to see stories from Petting Zoo get such a positive reception, e.g., the Locus Recommended Reading list and the Fountain award.)

thanx for the KRUSH; meanwhile, i am/have ben/will be posting more on
Virgilius Maro of Toulouse and the band Radio Tarifa, both of which show
IMHO ways of escaping from the current impasse…

meanwhile, i just have run across (in Classical Tamil poetry) a new pair
of aesthetic terms: akam and puram.

needless to say, these do not map onto a known schism.

I have not seen this good of an essay for quite a while. Way to breathe new life into writing. I feel like I’m going in a circle here, but I do like the Praise of Sisyphis.
